Company party

Today I got more chatty with 3 of my colleagues. Guess they will soon realize that i'm not who I look. Hopefully in the good way and not the bad. Haha.

Started with lunch at toastbox where I got to know a bit more of the history of the ex-audit VP through them. On the train ride to Tanah Merah talked more at ease with them. We went around to the games booth, man the fit & fun booth and do manicure. Colleagues went for fengshui course. I only joined them after we closed our stall.


Some one very loyal to the company. Haha.

This was hand drawn by an artist on a piece of shrinking plastic. The plastic shrank when it was placed in the toaster oven. Heh. My mouth as nostrils so big! Haha. And this service is FOC! Yea! Popcorn, ice cream were served with no charge as well :)


See my pink nails? Did express manicure for only $8. It was done by the ITE students. Not bad :)

Comcare activity

Woke up on time today! Woohoo! (With a bit of help from dad.. hehe.) got myself ready for a day of packing goodie bags and distributing bags to the old folks living at lavender area.

Yanting seems happy :) the two guys behind are jinyu's colleagues. The one in white was my team leader, Teck Chai. Very fun guy. Hope we'll see them again soon!

There's a towel, a bag of approximately 1kg rice, 1 tin of Milo, cereal and maggie mee.
Our team was in charged of delivering 12 goodie bags to old folks staying in blk 7 & 8.

We started the delivery only at 3.15pm and completed by 4pm. A pity that we started so late, uf not we could have more time to talk to the old folks.

Tonite 190 took super long to arrived and there was traffic jam at orchard turn. Thank God i had a seat if not i need to stand more than 30mins on my 3.5 inch heels. :S cannot imagine (>.<)

boarded bus ard 10.30pm but it was 11.45pm when i reach BP. was walking h0me and was approaching the feeder bus bus stop. The feeder bus that goes to my house only come once every 30mins and I know that the last bus should be at 12am. Since it was 11.45pm already, i presumed the bus had already left. i did saw people at the bus stop but i thought they were more likely waiting for another bus with a higher frequency. Although i thought its useless but i found myself saying: "God, i know doesn't seem possible, but i wish i can take bus and reach home faster." I turned my head and woohoo! 922 was approaching!

Shining Moments - 4 Dec 2010, republic poly

Our sub-D organized a talentime and we 4 brave gals signed up!


Initially it's just Lee Mei and Cuifen singing. But ended up we added in the dance. Although we were last (hahaha!), we weren't upset. Cos we think that other teams really deserve the credits, they really trained hard. Ours was more ad-hoc :p
At least got chocolates as consolation :D

Appreciate that Jestee stayed in Sg for this performance and Lee Mei for being so sporty by joining this contest even though she has to fly off to China the next day. :)

Hope u girls enjoyed urself. At least when we look back 10 yrs later, we can proudly say 至少我们勇敢的尝试过! Haha!


Dabao did a gd job of playing the guitar for Hebing and Zhou Lin as well! You'll always be the most talented Bao I ever know. :)

Turnaround Thursday?

Today I tried out the new route to bishan that st and pr recommended. It's slightly faster! Thank God! And I managed to pack a 50cents coffee before the shuttle bus ran off. Phew. Today was also a fulfilling day at work. Learnt from buddy how they created the excel MAC using macro. :) arranged for opening meeting n another one or Tmr. However, I should have looked for my boss regarding tmr's thing on the agenda and what I need to prepare. I actually did look for her. However I did not approach her cos the snr mgr was inside and thought I shouldn't disturb them. I was also feeling unwell with occasional cramps and feverish feeling. So uncomfortable that I cancelled my appt With Jestee n Lee Mei. Lee mei said that i'm too tired. Wanted to resort to panadol to make myself feel better but its not in my bag. it was getting closer to 5.45pm. I sent her an email but dun think she saw it. Ard 5.40pm, she came over to tell me to do up the agenda for the meeting. She listed down for me the issues we should discuss in the meeting Tmr. I did what she told me. However, i have never prepare any meeting agenda before. Thank God i found some samples in the shared driver if not i can go die cos all my colleagues were leaving to go for drinks tog. My first OT in this co. Ha. Actually i Thank God that my boss was patient with me. She could have scold me or reprimand me or not taking the initiative to ask her on what I need to do.

I'm on the bus towards bt panjang now. Thank God for this timely bus 171. If not i need to walk in the ran. Cos i have no brolly. Wih to hurry eat my dinner and go bk sleep soon. I'm So tired.

Another good thing is I can go directly to woodlands depot Tmr and only need to reach at 9.30! so I dun have to go bishan!!! No waking up at 6!!!!

First day!

Welcome to my new workstation! :D





Colleagues are warm and friendly, Chinese speaking and go home on the dot! What else do I need to say except thank God!

Haha.. Here got buddy system, my buddy is from the same dept as me and he showed me around and briefed me on our job scope. Gg to work on a project soon. Excited yet nervous :) pray that God will be with me and guide me through!

A new beginning!

Yea! On way to reporting for work at a new company. Pray that God's presence will be with me :)

Peanutos puts on baking hat again!

After yesterday's attempt on Medaria cake, peanutos hands were itching to make the butter cake she has been dreaming of.

Following the recipe on a blog managed to whipped up this!


250g of butter was used (and mind you, I used the creamy one. Wooooo~~ can hear the fats forming in my body). The mixing of the ingredients was a bit messy. Forgot to put in milk and vanilla extract before folding in the flour, batter was too much for my loaf tin so i had to transfer the batter from loaf tin to springform pan. It's messy!! I got a bit panicky. Hehe. Was praying that the batter will somehow become a cake Hahah.

Thank God the japalang batter became a cake. Haha. However, I put it in the oven for too long. recipe states to bake it for 1 hr. Mine was actually ready ard 40mins. I tot I have to follow the recipe strictly. End up the cake was like that by 50mins.


I quickly took it out of the oven. Again chao tar. Hahahah. Looks like the head of koge pan and I like that character when I was in jc. Hehe.

Baker Peanutos

First attempt to bake a maderia cake (kind of like pound cake). That big patch of yellow you see in the photo appeared after I cut away the chao tar portion of the cake hahaha. :p

Pls do not be alarmed, I assure you it's edible :)

The recipe calls for only 125g of butter so i guess medaria cake is not so much of a butter cake.

I'm looking for butter cake recipe. Do share with me if you have any tested and proven recipe for butter cake. Thanks!

New beginning

I've found a new job! Praise God and thank God for his blessings! :D:D

Thank God

Just went for an interview at this telco company. I just wanna thank God for the opportunity. I was almost gg to cry when I was in the cab cos I was gg to be late! Couldn't get a cab! Panic attack. Finally hop onto a cab at 4.15pm interview suppose to be at 4.30pm (*screams*) tried calling the HR personnel but unable to! Her line is busy all the time. I emailed her using my phone n thank God she replied! Phew. Finally meet the director. She does not sound like a local. But can see she's a diplomatic n sincere person. I roughly know that my experiences and knowledge does not impress her but she gave me chances and ask questions like why should she hire me etc. While she paused to take a look at my certificates I was praying hard for the holy spirit to let her find favor in me. Hoping that there's still some hope. Heh. After she has looked through my stack of documents, she honestly told me what kind of person she is looking for and gave me another chance to "sell" myself to her. I was pretty sure given my current skills and capabilities I am not up to the test. She's understanding and Told me that she she sees that I have a good and positive attitude :) she'll keep my profile and see if in the nx frw months whether there are suitable positions. Told me not to lose hope an that the door is not yet closed. Really thank God that she finds favor in me. I tot that by being late all hope is lost ored. I am once again reminded of the faithfulness of God. Really pray that there will be opportunity to work there to learn more and gain experience an knowledge.
